Balochistan [Pakistan], June 7 (ANI): Two more residents of Quetta, including a teenage rickshaw driver, have allegedly been subjected to enforced disappearance, while a Karachi man has resurfaced after remaining missing for more than ten months, as reported by The Balochistan Post.
According to The Balochistan Post, 32-year-old Shehzad Qambrani was allegedly detained during a late-night raid on his residence in Killi Qambrani, Quetta.
Family members claimed that personnel associated with the Frontier Corps and Military Intelligence entered the house around 3 am and took him away. Since then, relatives say they have received no information regarding his whereabouts.
Qambrani, a local shopkeeper, is said to have been living in the area with his family.
In a separate incident, a 16-year-old boy was reportedly taken from his home in Killi Hussainabad on Quetta's Sariab Road.
His relatives alleged that officials linked to the Counter Terrorism Department, Inter-Services Intelligence, and Military Intelligence participated in the operation.
Aziz, who worked as a rickshaw driver, has not been seen since his reported detention, and his family says authorities have provided no details about his condition or location.
Meanwhile, Zahid Ali, a resident of Karachi's Lyari area, was recovered on June 1 from Safoora Goth after being missing since July 17, 2025. His disappearance had lasted for more than ten months.
The latest incidents emerged as the protest camp organised by the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) outside the Quetta Press Club entered its 6,185th day.
The demonstration continues to draw support from civil society members and individuals from various walks of life, as highlighted by The Balochistan Post.
Speaking at the camp, VBMP Chairman Nasrullah Baloch reiterated calls for an end to enforced disappearances and alleged extrajudicial practices.
He urged authorities to ensure that any individual accused of wrongdoing is processed through legal channels and presented before a court in accordance with constitutional requirements, as reported by The Balochistan Post. (ANI)
