BEIJING, Aug. 1 (Xinhua) -- The following is a summary of published science and technology news of China.
SPACE-TRACKING SHIP
China's space-tracking ship Yuanwang-3 returned to its homeport in east China's Jiangsu Province Sunday after completing a new round of maritime monitoring missions.
During the missions, Yuanwang-3 ensured Fengyun-3E meteorological satellite's entry into planned orbit.
PHOTOVOLTAIC POWER
China's photovoltaic power generation rose 23.4 percent year on year in the first half of 2021 (H1) amid the country's efforts to peak carbon dioxide emissions and achieve carbon neutrality, official data showed.
In the Jan.-June period, the country's photovoltaic power generation stood at 157.64 billion kWh, according to Wang Dapeng, an official with the National Energy Administration.
Newly-added installed photovoltaic power generation capacity totaled 13.01 million kilowatts in the period, and the cumulative installed photovoltaic power generation capacity hit 268 million kilowatts by the end of June.
SCI-TECH INNOVATION IPOS
China's securities regulator has approved the initial public offerings (IPOs) of three companies on the science and technology innovation board.
Hangzhou Biotest Biotech Co., Ltd., Shanghai SupeZET Engineering Technology Corp., Ltd. and Guoguang Electric Co., Ltd. will be listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange's sci-tech innovation board, commonly known as the STAR market, according to the China Securities Regulatory Commission.
