FRANKFURT, Aug. 10 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged up on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index up 12.65 points, or 0.10 percent, to close at 12,687.53 points.
Aircraft engine manufacturer MTU Aero won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 4.46 percent. Deutsche Bank and automotive supplier Continental rose by 3.61 percent and 2.46 percent respectively.
Global internet technology and financial services provider Wirecard lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 4.51 percent. Semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies and marketplace organizer for the trading of shares and securities Deutsche Boerse group went down by 2.40 percent and 2.11 percent respectively.
Multinational software corporation SAP was the most-traded share with a turnover of 201.83 million euros (237.41 million U.S. dollars).
China's Haier, a leading global household appliances manufacturer listed in Frankfurt in 2018, gained 0.79 percent to close at 0.81 euros per share on Monday.
