Drugs worth Rs.5 crore seized in Bengal

A heroin manufacturing unit was busted in this district and drugs worth Rs.5 crore seized Sunday, police said. Two people have been arrested.

The building, located in Lalgola area, was raided following intelligence inputs, Murshidabad Superintendent of Police Humayun Kabir told IANS.

'We have seized contraband substances, including 2.5 kg of heroin and 19 kg of morphine, worth Rs.5 crore in the international market,' said Kabir.
